KETO CHEESEBURGER CASSEROLE
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp mustard (Dijon or yellow)
- 1/2 cup diced pickles (optional)
- 2 tbsp butter or oil for cooking
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook Beef Mixture:
- In a skillet, heat butter or oil over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and garlic; sauté until softened.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook until browned, then remove from heat.
- Prepare Egg Mixture:
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, mayonnaise, and mustard until smooth.
- Assemble Casserole:
- In a greased casserole dish, spread the cooked beef mixture evenly.
- If using pickles, sprinkle them over the beef.
- Pour the egg mixture over the beef.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake:
- Place the casserole dish in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is set.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Optional: Garnish with fresh parsley or more pickles for a burger-like vibe!
