KETO FATHEAD ROLLS
Ingredients:
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 cups almond flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1/4 tsp onion powder (optional)
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 cup butter (melted, for brushing on top)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the cheeses: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella and cream cheese. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring between each interval until fully melted and smooth.
- Mix the dough: Once the cheese mixture is smooth, add the egg, almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir everything together until the dough is well combined.
- Form the rolls: Wet your hands (this helps with handling the sticky dough), then divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush with butter: Once your rolls are formed, brush the tops with melted butter to give them a nice golden finish.
- Bake: Place the rolls in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown on top.
- Cool and serve: Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm with your favorite keto-friendly spread or use them for sandwiches.
