Keto Ground Beef Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240ml) tomato sauce (sugar-free)
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (or any keto-friendly cheese)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 medium zucchini, sliced (optional, for added veggies)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). - Cook the Ground Beef:
- In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Stir in diced onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Add Seasoning and Sauce:
- Mix in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until the flavors combine.
- Layer the Casserole:
- In a casserole dish, spread the cooked ground beef mixture evenly.
- Add a layer of sliced zucchini (optional).
- Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
- In a small bowl, combine heavy cream with 1 cup of shredded cheese. Pour this mixture over the ground beef.
- Top with Cheese:
- Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheese over the casserole.
- Bake:
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve:
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve hot and enjoy your keto-friendly meal!
