Ham and Cheese Pizza Slices
Ingredients:
1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
8 slices deli ham, cut into strips
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Olive oil for brushing (optional)
Dried oregano (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven: Set your oven to 475°F (245°C) and let it preheat while you prepare the pizza.
Prepare the dough: If using store-bought dough, roll it out on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. For homemade dough, follow your favorite recipe.
Assemble the pizza: Place your dough on a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce across the dough. Evenly distribute the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Add the ham: Place the sliced ham strips on top of the cheese layer.
Bake the pizza: Transfer the pizza to your preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Add finishing touches: Once the pizza is done baking, sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper and some dried oregano if desired. If you like a crispier crust, you can brush the edges with a little olive oil before baking.
Slice and serve: Let the pizza cool slightly, slice it into squares or wedges, and enjoy!
