cinnamon sugar tortilla roll up

Ingredients:

  • 4 flour tortillas (preferably medium size)
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) or heat a large skillet over medium heat if you’re cooking them on the stove.
  2. Prepare cinnamon sugar: In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Brush tortillas with butter: Lay the tortillas flat on a clean surface. Brush each tortilla generously with the melted butter. If you like, you can add a little vanilla extract to the melted butter for extra flavor.
  4. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar: Evenly sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the buttered tortillas. Be sure to cover the entire surface.
  5. Roll the tortillas: Carefully roll up each tortilla tightly into a log. Slice them into 1-inch thick slices using a sharp knife.
  6. Cook: If you’re using the oven, place the roll-ups on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. If you’re using a skillet, cook the roll-ups on medium heat for about 2-3 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve: Let them cool slightly, then serve warm! They make a perfect snack or dessert.
