Ingredients
- 2 large cucumbers (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup red onion (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup fresh dill (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or minced fresh garlic
Instructions
- Wash the cucumbers thoroughly. Slice them thinly using a knife or mandoline for uniform pieces.
- Place the sliced cucumbers in a large bowl.
- Add thinly sliced red onion and chopped fresh dill.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, apple cider vinegar, salt, black pepper, and garlic (if using).
- Pour the dressing over the cucumber mixture and toss until everything is well coated.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 15-20 minutes before serving for better flavor.
Tips
- Use English cucumbers for a milder flavor or Persian cucumbers for extra crunch.
- Add a bit of feta cheese or sliced cherry tomatoes for variety.
