Keto Pizza Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices (or other favorite toppings)
  • 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce (sugar-free)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the meat: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef or turkey, onion, and garlic. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes. Cook until the meat is browned and the onion is tender, about 7-10 minutes.
  3. Prepare casserole base: Once the meat mixture is cooked, add the marinara sauce and stir well to combine. Simmer for 5 minutes, letting the flavors meld together.
  4. Assemble casserole: In a baking dish, spread the meat and sauce mixture evenly. Top with pepperoni slices and then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
  5. Bake: Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve: Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy!
