Keto Steak Bites with Garlic Butter

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) steak (ribeye or sirloin works well), cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for searing)
  • ½ tsp dried thyme or rosemary (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the steak:
    • Cut your steak into bite-sized cubes. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the steak:
    • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the steak cubes in batches to avoid overcrowding. Sear each side for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak bites from the pan and set aside.
  3. Make the garlic butter:
    • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and allow it to melt. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Combine:
    • Return the steak bites to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter until well coated. If you’re using dried herbs like thyme or rosemary, add them at this point and toss again.
  5. Finish:
    • Remove from heat and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the top.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve the steak bites immediately with a side of your favorite keto-friendly vegetables or just enjoy them as a snack!
