Air Fryer Lamb Chops Recipe
Ingredients:
4-6 lamb chops (rib or loin)
2 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp dried rosemary (or 2 tsp fresh, chopped)
1 tsp dried thyme (or 2 tsp fresh, chopped)
1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
Season the Lamb Chops:
In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Pat the lamb chops dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps them sear better.
Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the lamb chops.
Cook the Lamb Chops:
Place the seasoned lamb chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding to allow for even cooking.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through. For medium-rare lamb, aim for an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C); for medium, aim for 140°F (60°C).
Use a meat thermometer to check for your desired doneness.
Rest the Lamb Chops:
Once cooked, remove the lamb chops from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute and ensures tender meat.
Serve the lamb chops with lemon wedges on the side. They pair wonderfully with a fresh salad, roasted vegetables, or mashed potatoes.
Thickness matters: Adjust cooking time depending on the thickness of the lamb chops. Thicker cuts may need a few extra minutes.
For extra flavor: Marinate the lamb chops for 1-2 hours (or overnight) in the olive oil and seasoning mixture for an even more intense flavor.
Enjoy your perfectly cooked air fryer lamb chops!
