Air Fryer Popcorn Chicken
Ingredients:
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
Instructions:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes.
In a shallow bowl or dish, mix together the all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Place the beaten eggs in a separate bowl. In another bowl, pour the panko breadcrumbs.
Dip each piece of chicken into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the panko breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to ensure they stick well.
Place the coated chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Spray the chicken pieces with cooking spray to help them brown and crisp up in the air fryer.
Cook the chicken in the air fryer for about 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure even cooking. The cooking time may vary depending on the size of the chicken pieces and the air fryer you’re using.
Check the chicken for doneness. It should be golden brown and cooked through with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Once cooked, remove the popcorn chicken from the air fryer and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serve the air fryer popcorn chicken with your favorite dipping sauce or as a topping for salads or wraps.
Enjoy your homemade air fryer popcorn chicken!
