Air Fryer Roast Beef

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 lb beef roast (sirloin, top round, or eye of round)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef:
    • Take the roast out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature.
    • Pat the roast dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the Roast:
    • Rub the roast with olive oil.
    • In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and rosemary.
    • Evenly coat the roast with the seasoning mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  4. Cook the Roast:
    • Place the roast in the air fryer basket or on a rack.
    • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes to create a seared crust.
    • Lower the temperature to 360°F (180°C) and cook for 30-45 minutes, depending on the desired doneness:
      • Medium-Rare: 130-135°F (55-57°C)
      • Medium: 135-145°F (57-63°C)
      • Medium-Well: 145-155°F (63-68°C)
  5. Rest and Serve:
    • Remove the roast from the air fryer and tent it with foil.
    • Let it rest for 10-15 minutes to retain its juices.
    • Slice against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
