Air fryer Egg Bites
Ingredients:
- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk or heavy cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
- 1/4 cup cooked bacon, ham, or sausage (chopped)
- 1/4 cup chopped vegetables (e.g., spinach, bell peppers, or onions)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Non-stick spray or silicone muffin molds
Instructions:
- Prepare the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
- Lightly grease silicone muffin molds or small ramekins with non-stick spray.
- Mix the Egg Mixture:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Stir in the shredded cheese, cooked meat, and vegetables.
- Fill the Molds:
- Divide the egg mixture evenly among the molds, filling each about 3/4 full to leave room for rising.
- Cook the Egg Bites:
- Place the molds in the air fryer basket, ensuring they’re level and not overcrowded.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the egg bites are set and slightly golden on top.
- Check doneness by inserting a toothpick—it should come out clean.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the egg bites to cool for 1-2 minutes before gently removing them from the molds.
- Serve warm or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Tips:
- Customize with your favorite fillings, such as feta cheese, mushrooms, or sun-dried tomatoes.
- Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 300°F (150°C) for 2-3 minutes.
