Air Fryer Baked Oatmeal

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed (or 1/4 cup applesauce)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup mix-ins (chocolate chips, berries, or chopped nuts)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine mashed banana, milk, egg, honey/maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix well. Add rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt, and stir until combined. Fold in your desired mix-ins.
  3. Prepare the Dish: Grease a small, air fryer-safe baking dish (or ramekin) with cooking spray or butter. Pour the oatmeal mixture into the dish and spread evenly.
  4. Bake in the Air Fryer: Place the dish in the air fryer basket. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes or until the oatmeal is set and golden on top. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
  5. Cool and Serve: Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving. You can enjoy it as is or top it with yogurt, fresh fruit, or a drizzle of honey.
