Lemon Cream Cheese Dump Cake
Ingredients:
1 (15.25 oz) box of lemon cake mix
2 (8 oz) packages of cream cheese, softened
½ cup of sugar
1 (21 oz) can of lemon pie filling
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture:
In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with the sugar until smooth and creamy.
Layer the Lemon Pie Filling:
Spread the lemon pie filling evenly at the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Add the Cream Cheese Mixture:
Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the lemon pie filling. There’s no need to spread it evenly; the uneven layers add texture.
Top with Lemon Cake Mix:
Sprinkle the lemon cake mix evenly over the top of the dish, ensuring it covers as much as possible. Use a fork to distribute and cover any large gaps.
Bake the Cake:
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the cake to cool before serving. It can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature for a tangy, creamy dessert!
