Orange Juice Cake

Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 1 box yellow or orange-flavored cake mix
  • 1 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • Zest of 1 orange (optional, for extra flavor)

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Cake Batter

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt or round cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, orange juice, oil, eggs, and orange zest.
  3. Mix with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes, or until the batter is smooth.

2. Bake the Cake

  1. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  2. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

3. Make the Glaze

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, orange juice, and zest until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more juice or sugar if needed.

4. Glaze the Cake

  1. Once the cake is completely cool, drizzle the glaze over the top. Let it set for a few minutes before serving.
