Ingredients:

  • 1 medium head of cabbage, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional)
  • Fresh lemon juice (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Cabbage: Shred the cabbage into thin strips or chop it into small pieces.
  2. Cook the Garlic: Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Sauté the Cabbage: Add the shredded cabbage to the pan and toss it in the olive oil and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes until the cabbage starts to soften but still has some crunch.
  4. Season: Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and thyme (if using). Stir to combine.
  5. Add Vinegar (optional): For a tangy twist, add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to the cabbage and stir well.
  6. Serve: Remove from heat. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the cabbage for an extra burst of flavor, if desired.

Serving Size: About 1 cup (depending on cabbage size).
