Air fryer crinkle cut fries
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450 g) crinkle-cut fries (frozen or fresh)
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil (optional, for crispier fries)
- Salt and seasonings (e.g., garlic powder, paprika, or black pepper) to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for 3–5 minutes.
- Prepare the Fries:
- If using frozen fries, no need to thaw; just place them directly in the air fryer.
- For fresh crinkle-cut fries, soak them in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with a clean towel.
- Optional Oil & Seasoning: Toss the fries with olive oil and your desired seasonings for extra flavor.
- Air Fry the Fries:
- Spread the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
- Cook for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crisping. Adjust the time based on your desired level of crispiness.
- Check & Serve:
- Check for doneness and add a minute or two if necessary.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.
