MILK BRIOCHE
Ingredients:
- 2 ¾ cups (350g) all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- ½ cup (120ml) warm milk
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Egg wash (1 egg mixed with 1 tablespoon milk)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add the warm milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until the dough starts to come together.
- Gradually add the softened butter and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic (about 8-10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes with a stand mixer).
- First Rise:
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
- Shape the Brioche:
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 8-10 equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball and place them in a lightly greased air fryer basket or pan.
- Second Rise:
- Cover the shaped dough and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes until puffy.
- Preheat and Bake:
- Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
- Brush the brioche with the egg wash for a golden finish.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, checking for even browning. Rotate or rearrange if necessary.
- Cool and Serve:
- Let the brioche cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them plain or with your favorite spreads!
