Best Air Fryer Scallops
Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh sea scallops
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Scallops:
- Rinse scallops under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Remove the tough side muscle (if present) from each scallop.
- Season the Scallops:
- In a bowl, mix scallops with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Ensure they’re evenly coated.
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Cook the Scallops:
- Arrange scallops in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
- Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through. The scallops should be opaque and slightly golden.
- Serve:
- Transfer scallops to a serving dish, squeeze fresh lemon juice over them, and garnish with parsley if desired.
- Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
Tips:
- For extra flavor, brush scallops with melted butter before serving.
- Pair them with a garlic aioli or a side of steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
