Best Air Fryer Scallops

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh sea scallops
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Scallops:
    • Rinse scallops under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
    • Remove the tough side muscle (if present) from each scallop.
  2. Season the Scallops:
    • In a bowl, mix scallops with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Ensure they’re evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Cook the Scallops:
    • Arrange scallops in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
    • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through. The scallops should be opaque and slightly golden.
  5. Serve:
    • Transfer scallops to a serving dish, squeeze fresh lemon juice over them, and garnish with parsley if desired.
    • Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, brush scallops with melted butter before serving.
  • Pair them with a garlic aioli or a side of steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
