Step 1: Prepare the Bacon Jam

– In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pan.

– Add the sliced onions to the skillet with the bacon grease and cook until caramelized, stirring occasionally.

– Once the onions are caramelized, add the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, brewed coffee, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and mustard powder to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

– Return the cooked bacon to the skillet and simmer the mixture over low heat for about 30 minutes, or until thickened to a jam-like consistency.

– Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Burger Patties
