SLOW COOKER CUBE STEAKS WITH GRAVY

Ingredients:

  • 4 cube steaks
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, check carb count)
  • ½ tsp xanthan gum (for thickening)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Season & Sear: Season cube steaks with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. In a skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat and sear the steaks for about 1-2 minutes per side. (Optional but adds great flavor!)

2️⃣ Slow Cook: Place the steaks in the slow cooker. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until tender.

3️⃣ Make the Gravy: In the last 30 minutes, whisk heavy cream and xanthan gum together and stir into the slow cooker. Let it cook until thickened.
