air fryer dinner rolls
Ingredients
- 2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
- ¾ cup warm milk (about 110°F)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing)
Instructions
- Activate the Yeast:
- In a small bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
- Make the Dough:
- In a large bowl, mix the yeast mixture, melted butter, egg, flour, and salt.
- Knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic (you can use a stand mixer with a dough hook).
- First Rise:
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Shape the Rolls:
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 10–12 equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into a smooth ball.
- Second Rise:
- Place the rolls in a greased air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Cover lightly and let rise for another 20–30 minutes.
- Air Fry:
- Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
- Brush the rolls with melted butter and air fry for 8–10 minutes until golden brown.
- Finish & Serve:
- Brush with more melted butter while warm.
- Serve and enjoy!
